The victims of a tragic car accident have moved to a new town and are building a new life to forget the past. It seems to be going well until an investigative writer, determined to find a story, terrorizes the mother and daughter and a much darker truth is revealed.
AFTERSHOCK is a four-character (2m, 2w), single set, two-act thriller. Characters: Jessica Maxwell (19), a bright and cheerful college student; Lisa Maxwell (40’s), Jessica’s mother and a successful grant writer; Tony Mayfield (late 40’s), an investigative writer; and Detective Howard (50’s). The setting is the living room and dining room of a modern house in the present day.
